Since 2013, Jeannette Lopez has been a key member of Dr. Bucky’s surgical team, bringing over two decades of expertise and dedication to her role. As Senior Operating Room Nurse, Jeannette works alongside Dr. Bucky in the operating rooms at Penn Medicine-Tuttleman Surgery Center, Vincera Surgery Center, and The Bucky Body Center, ensuring every procedure runs smoothly and efficiently.

In addition to her technical expertise in the OR, Jeannette plays a pivotal role in patient care as a trusted liaison. She carefully prepares patient charts, confirming all surgical paperwork, implants, and supplies are accounted for, ensuring nothing is overlooked. During pre-operative interviews, her calm and professional demeanor helps ease any patient anxieties, addressing their questions with empathy and insight. Jeannette’s unique perspective as both a nurse and a former patient—having undergone her own breast reconstruction with Dr. Bucky—allows her to offer genuine understanding and reassurance.

Affectionately known as “J Lo” by her patients, Jeannette is known for her humor and charm. Although patients may be surprised to meet a quick-witted Filipino nurse with a South Philly accent, she proudly owns the nickname, fostering a relaxed and supportive environment that puts her patients at ease.

A graduate of Thomas Jefferson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Jeannette began her career in telemetry and as a traveling nurse before transitioning to the operating room in 2001. While she has worked across various surgical specialties, plastic surgery is her passion. Seeing the immediate, transformative results in her patients fuels her love for the field, knowing each procedure contributes to their confidence and well-being.

For Jeannette, patient care is about more than just the surgical outcome—it’s about ensuring every individual feels seen, heard, and cared for from start to finish.

Kenneth Mason, PA-C, MPAS, is a dedicated Physician Assistant at Bucky Plastic Surgery and Bucky Body Center, specializing in aesthetic medicine. With over four years of experience, Kenny has quickly become one of the top providers on the East Coast for Ellacor and is also skilled in performing Aveli treatments. He is passionate about delivering exceptional results while fostering a calm, reassuring environment for his patients.

Kenny earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from Thomas Jefferson University, where he was consistently named to the Dean’s List. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and continues to expand his expertise by performing advanced procedures such as fat grafting for breast and facial enhancement, as well as using diluted fat in the neck for aesthetic improvements.

Known for his honest, compassionate approach, Kenny takes time to listen to his patients’ concerns, whether they are seeking medical weight loss or cosmetic treatments. He reassures them that their feelings are valid and common, helping to create a foundation of trust. By building strong relationships with patients, Kenny ensures their concerns are addressed and outcomes are optimized.

In addition to his clinical work, Kenny thrives in the operating room, collaborating with Dr. Bucky on numerous procedures, including using fat to enhance aesthetic results, such as breast reshaping and facial fat grafting during facelifts. His commitment to patient care and his continuous pursuit of knowledge allows him to add new procedures to his skill set and provide the most innovative treatments available.

Outside of his medical practice, Kenny is an avid sports fan, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers, and Phillies. He also enjoys playing in recreational leagues for sports such as softball, volleyball, kickball, and basketball—keeping active and reliving his youthful spirit.

Kara Waskiewicz, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in internal and integrative medicine with a focus on women’s health. She earned her degree from Lock Haven University and has extensive experience blending traditional medical practices with holistic approaches. Kara is passionate about empowering patients to take control of their health at every stage of life.

Combining her medical training with functional medicine principles, Kara offers a range of advanced therapies to optimize health and well-being. Her areas of expertise include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), nutrition, supplementation, and longevity-focused care, all tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.

Known for her compassionate, thoughtful approach, Kara is dedicated to providing personalized care that helps women reconnect with their vitality and redefine what it means to feel their best. She is committed to supporting her patients in making informed, empowered decisions about their health, fostering an environment of trust and holistic wellness.

Bharti Brite, LMT, is a Licensed Massage Therapist with nearly a decade of professional experience in personalized massage therapy. Bharti is thrilled to join Dr. Bucky’s team and bring her expertise to the practice. She began her career in the luxury spa industry, mastering Swedish massage and therapeutic deep tissue techniques, before expanding her skillset to work alongside physical therapists and chiropractors in orthopedic massage, specializing in injury recovery and pain management.

Bharti’s passion for holistic wellness led her to the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, where she trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and found her true calling in postoperative lymphatic massage, offering essential support to clients on their recovery journeys after surgery. Her customized care focuses on reducing swelling, improving circulation, and optimizing healing. In 2023-2024, Bharti completed an extensive eight-month training in Oncology Massage, expanding her ability to offer specialized therapeutic care to clients with unique needs.

Bharti specializes in addressing muscle tension and discomfort associated with mild injuries, such as tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, stiff neck, golfer’s/tennis elbow, and pulled back muscles. Her expertise in deep tissue, sports massage, and Swedish techniques allows her to provide therapeutic care that supports recovery, enhances mobility, and promotes overall well-being.
